History is permanent: the gate runs before the push — no negotiation.
Trunk-based development, Conventional Commits, small PRs, signed commits and a committed secret treated as public. Mistakes are fixed forward, never by rewriting what was already published.

GitHub is the source of truth
Commit and push right away; the local copy never diverges from what is published.
Trunk-based and Conventional Commits
An always-green main, short branches, linear history and atomic commits following Conventional Commits 1.0.0.
Small PRs
Reviewable in about 15 minutes, with a description that answers what, how it was tested, risk/rollback and where to look.
Never rewrite what is published
No force push on main, release branches or tags; a published mistake is fixed with git revert. The only exception is removing a secret or personal data.
Committed secret: rotate first
Rewriting history does not undo a leak; never --no-verify, with secret scanning and pre-commit switched on.
Main protected on the server
A ruleset with force push blocked, linear history, PRs, the gate as a status check and code owner review; a rule that lives only on the client does not count.
Signing and immutable tags
Main commits and release tags signed when the policy is adopted; an annotated SemVer tag is never moved.
