Non-negotiable floors

Never switched off "to go faster". Full list in the skill.

Ruby by fit + ADR

A sanctioned-list language, chosen by fit + ADR (prototyping, scripts, Rails product DX). Never a backend off the list nor without a fit ADR.

Secrets out of the bundle

Never in code, in the Gemfile or in a served asset, nor in the front's NEXT_PUBLIC_/VITE_. Only via Rails credentials / ENV / secret manager.

Parameterized ActiveRecord

No interpolated SQL; strong params against mass-assignment; SecureRandom for tokens; YAML.safe_load; no eval/send driven by input.

Server-side auth, separate IAM

tenant_id/role from the verified token (full JWT, no alg=none). Auth is a separate Ruby app at auth.<domain> — Devise alone is not the house IAM.

Tests carry the safety

Ruby's dynamism has no compiler; RSpec/Minitest + RBS/Sorbet catch NoMethodError/typos. A test is never silenced to pass CI.

Lean code + archive

Files ≤750 lines (flag >300 useful), one class per file, YARD docs, frozen_string_literal. MAP and archive generated every time.
